Satellite Office Technician

We are looking for full time Technical Support/Customer Service Associates. In this role, you will provide “Class A” customer service as well as technical support to our clients.

You must possess a good working knowledge of computers, especially how to remove hard drives from desktops, laptops and servers.

You will assist our data recovery engineers in the recovery of critical lost data due to hard drive crash, server failure, or accidental file deletion.

The ideal candidates will have a good working knowledge of computers, especially technical terminology, be quick learners and be willing to accept additional responsibilities. A degree is not required but willingness to learn demonstrated by previous employment, hobbies and understanding of various computer components and peripherals is important. Sales skills will be a plus.

This position is not stressful, and you will be working with other customer service associates, taking calls, answering questions, providing price quotes, sending paperwork to customers and keeping your customers updated throughout the data recovery process.

If you are able to be calm and reassuring, realizing that our clients have lost critical data due to a hard drive crash, server failure or accidentally deleted files and that sometimes they are in panic mode... then you might just be the perfect candidate!

In order to be considered for this position, you must have a good understanding of computers and excellent people skills.

Educational/Experience Requirements:

  • High School Diploma
  • 40+ WPM Required
  • Knowledge of MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Sales experience
  • IT/Tech support experience preferred
  • A+/MCP/MCSE/MCSA or 2 year degree preferred

Interpersonal Requirements:

  • Possess a current, valid driver's license or daily transportation
  • Be dependable, honest and have a pleasing personality
  • Be able to think quickly, ask questions and be personable
  • Understand and be able to use a computer efficiently
  • Have knowledge of various computer components, parts and technical terms and be willing to learn.
  • Be able to show genuine concern and empathy towards clients
  • Be willing to take on additional tasks
