Folsom, CA, July 1, 2006 - ADR Data Recovery in an effort to help businesses in parts of New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina and West Virginia, announced that for businesses in those regions, the normal diagnostic fee will be waived if they choose ADR Data Recovery to recover their data from water damaged hard drives.
Saturday, June 24th, 2006, the Mid-Atlantic States and parts of the Northeastern States were drenched by a series of rainstorms which caused major flooding in those regions. Just a few days later, on Tuesday, June 27th, the rain had caused additional flooding and expanded into other areas.
“I just wanted to take a moment to write you and say "Thanks a Million,”” said Eric B. of New York. As a typical home user, he had priceless digital pictures on his computer that he and his family thought were lost.
”It did not take too much calculation to realize that the cost of the expedited data recovery was expensive, but not in comparison with the lost time I was looking at to reconstruct a week of work, plus the records and personal work that was just gone,” said Shawn G. of West Virginia. As a computer consultant, he recognized the value of his lost data and the time and effort to recreate it.
If your business experienced data loss as a result of flooding, unplug your computer equipment immediately and move it to a secure, dry area. If the computer is wet or submerged, remove the hard drive(s) and carefully seal them in a dry, zip-lock plastic bag. ADR Data Recovery suggests that you wear rubber gloves when handling the flooded computer equipment due to potentially hazardous conditions which may have seeped into the water.
Do not take apart the hard drive and allow the hard drive to "air dry", and please do not use a hair-dryer to 'blow dry' the hard drive. Doing so may cause water deposits, dirt, sand or silt to damage inside the mechanisms. Do not attempt to hand clean or operate a hard drive that has been submerged in water and then installed into a new computer.
Please call ADR Data Recovery at 1-800-450-9282. We will be happy to work with you to get your data back and will waive the normal diagnostic fee during this traumatic and stressful time.
